A note from Page PTA President, Brenda Martinez Dear Page Community, What a whirlwind! This month has been hectic and crazy and just like that, it’s almost over. With the holiday season kick off only days away, and especially Thanksgiving this week, I just wanted to take the time to thank you all for everything you have done and continue to do for Page. I know you must have seen the email about how successful the Annual Book fair was this year. We sold more books and were able to also donate more books this year. How amazing! Annual Book Fair Huge Success

BOOK FAIR AND STORYTELLING NIGHT A HUGE SUCCESS A massive thank you to all the incredible volunteers who helped to make this year's Book Fair another success. Over $3,700 was raised through sales that will directly help PTA funded events and resources. The success is defined by the numbers as follows: 1,500 books sold 4,500 reading hours $15,100 in gross sales $3,775 raised in funding $1,000+ in books donated 61 parents, grandparents, and family volunteers 12 student volunteers 6 middle school community service volunteers 10 Page staff and KAH volunteers 100% teacher participation 610 student readers 7 Page PTA Board members Thank you again for all of the volunteers and those that purcha

Eureka Math Parent Informational Night | Dec 4

Join us Dec 4 at 6:30 pm for a Parent Informational Night on Eureka Math. MPCS has implemented a new math curriculum for the 2019/2020 school year called, Eureka Math. By now, you should be familiar with the homework that has been coming home with your students, e.g. homework includes a "parent helper" sheet, etc. Page is hosting a parent informational night on Eureka Math, with an open discussion being led by Mrs. Caryn Maxwell (Page's staff development teacher) and a MCPS Math Instructional Specialist. Plan Ahead, Early Release Day | Nov 27

The day before the Thanksgiving holiday, Wednesday, Nov 27, is an early release day for Montgomery County Public Schools. Children will be release from school at 12:55 p.m. Please plan ahead for your pick-up schedule or aftercare plans. Kids After Hours: If your child regularly attends KAH aftercare program and your child WILL NOT be attending on this early release day, please inform Leo at KAH as soon as possible. Pajama Storytelling Night | Nov 13

Come and join us for a fun evening. We encourage all kids to come dressed appropriately in their PJs and cozy up for an evening of great storytelling. There are 3 time slots to choose from (6:30, 7:15, or 7:45), or plan to come for all 3 and enjoy each of the stories. Parents, please note, this is not a drop-off event. Please plan to attend the event in the time slot you choose....and feel free to come in your cozy PJs as well! It's Penguin Pride spirit wear time! With your order, you will look great in your Penguin Pride apparel while also supporting the needs of our school. Also, remember spirit wear makes great holiday gifts for parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, teachers and students! We receive a portion back from every order, which will go towards our "Fill the Beak" campaign to purchase items such as gym equipment and cafeteria tables.
