The WT Page PTA Board of Directors announced today the opening of nominations for new Board members and is accepting candidates until Sunday, May 5. "Having quality leadership on the Board of Directors is critical for our school to be successful," say Nat Williams, current PTA President. Its success requires parental involvement in the form of PTA Board members and volunteers. Elections will be held on Tuesday, May 7 at the next PTA General Meeting. Open elections will be for the following positions: President, Vice President, Advocacy Committee Chair, Fundraising Committee Chair, and Program Committee Chair.
In addition to the election, the Board of Directors is also in search of volunteers for the following committees: Advocacy, Fundraising, Communications, and Program.
All current PTA members are eligible to run for any officer or committee chair positions, and any member of the WT Page Elementary School community can serve on a PTA committee.
Any person wanting to run for a Board position or would like to nominate someone for the Board may submit their nomination on the organization's website. In addition, anyone interested in volunteering for one of the committees may also sign up via the website. Those volunteering for committees will be contacted by the committee chair following the elections.
