Dear Page Community,
These days, it seems that we are rushing around going from place to place, party to party, shopping mall to shopping mall, holiday event to holiday event and tending to the day to day. It’s a time when we see more friends and family but we also rush through it all. But who has time to stop and “smell the flowers”? What will our memories be filled with if we don’t slow down?
If you ask me, I think it will be filled more with memories of being stuck in traffic, the lines at the mall, the crowds at the holiday events going on instead of remembering who we were with at those moments, who we enjoyed a cup of coffee with, the conversations we had. So, I will try my hardest to make a conscious effort to enjoy where I am and not just go through the motions.
Time flies, I know, but let’s slow down a little and really take in the sights and company. All the obligations will still be there after we slow down a bit, so why not enjoy the moment? I hope that this week, you enjoy what you do, who you are with and where you are.
Cheers to you and yours,
Brenda Martinez
