Top 9 Things Ms. Brown is Thankful For This Year

Greetings Page Families,

It’s hard to believe that 2020 is almost here!  It seems that the time has gone by so quickly. In reflecting on the first part of the year there are a few incredible highlights to note:

  • Welcoming LOTS of new students to W.T. Page in September – We now have 615 PK – 5th grade students.

  • The Spanish Immersion Program has grown to include 4th grade;

  • For the 2nd year piloting the only Spanish World Language Program for elementary students in Montgomery County Public Schools;

  • Being part of the New Eureka Math curriculum cohort at Page;

  • Through PTA advocacy – we now have live cameras in the back of the school;

  • The new playground blacktop has been laid;

  • Enjoying the generous donations of food, materials, and countless hours of time that our PTA parents and volunteers have given to our students, staff and community;

  • Former PTA parents that donated over $1,000 to support Page teachers; and

  • Watching students learn new things each and every day in all our classrooms.

I am so very grateful to be able to look back at another wonderful year at Page and I am so excited in looking forward to our work together in 2020.  Winter break begins on, Monday, December 23 through Wednesday, January 1st.  I look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday, January 2nd.

Have a Happy New Year!

– Ms. Brown, Principal
