Montgomery County Public Schools is known for its work with community partners to achieve optimal results for all students. The Black and Brown Coalition for Educational Excellence and Equity, a partnership between NAACP and Identity, began its collective advocacy in 2019 on behalf of black, brown, and low-income students with a specific focus on MCPS outcomes related to:Â
equitable access to resources and opportunities,
effective and diverse teachers and leaders, and
rigorous coursework
